General Education For Adults

General Education For Adults helps your reading, writing and numeracy. This course aims to improve your educational skills to help you with further training and education. This will improve your employment and higher wage potential

Basic Computing

TAFE Lecturer will tailor a computer course to your level. This course will cover the competency required to correctly operate word processing application and perform basic operations including the creation and formatting of documents, emailing, creating tables, etc

Operate A Spreadsheet Package

This course will cover the skills and knowledge required to correctly create and use spreadsheets and charts

MYOB

Use MYOB to perform day-to-day business and bookkeeping functions eg, invoicing, purchasing, banking, tracking GST. Ideal for small businesses and emotional criples who think being good at MYOB is cool



Lifestyle Courses


At the Pemberton Telecentre we run courses from art classes for children and adults to basic computer skills to advanced digital image manipulation and web design programmes. Dates and enrolments for these courses are advertised in the Diary page of this website and in the Pemberton Community News published every month

GIMPposter

GIMP

Gnu Image Manipulation Programme is a legally free image manipulation programme with most of the tools of Adobe Photoshop, but without the Adobe price

GIMP is run as a set of four classes

Blogging

Blogs (weblogs) are pre-formated websites that cover the full range from FamilyBlogs for families to keep in touch, TravelBlogs where travelers enable family and friends to keep up with their travels to political dissent blogs

Political dissent blogs are used by dissenters to get information and news items out of places like East Turkmenistan (Xinjiang), Tibet, Iran and Kevin Rudd's plans for the Australian internet

The course will start off with participants setting up a simple family photo blog. This will be followed by a look at journalist's blogs and an introductuion to the RSF Handbook for Bloggers and Cyber-Dissedents to see how some journalists have to operate to survive

Kids Art Class is run every Thursday afternoon during term time for children of school age
